Ryu
at the age of 12 doing an RCMP Musical Ride Show in Abbotsford B.C.
August 2005. At age 11! |
| Ryu
(said like 'to'), was born 1994 a Shih - Tzu x Toy Poodle
male. He stands 11.5 inches tall, weighs 17 pounds and is in good
health today. He matured into an outgoing, friendly, well traveled
gentleman. |
I
waited a year for this 'once in a life-time' pup. He's learned
more than 20 tricks, has obedience down pat, and has been a
fabulous companion dog! Sometimes he still get's to play agility
in the Veterans division - and you should see how happy he is!

Here
Sadie-May and Ryu got caught watching Jurassic Park while we were
staying in a hotel room in Parksville, Vancouver Isl. Ryu is dressed
up in his bow-tie for his favorite lady. |
In
1998 Cinema Zoo hired us to do some theatrical events at George
Massy Theater, open restaurants and perform at fairs and special
engagements around the Vancouver and Vancouver Isl. areas. |

Ryu
drew attention of the folks from the Great Canadian Hot Dog. They
were a team of agility dogs that put on a few shows a year in
Vancouver and Victoria. We participated with them from 1998 -2000. |
Renee
and Ryu attended our first Dr. Ian Dunbar seminar, April 00. |

|
|
In
June 2001 Ryu competed the first Regional agility event, coming
home 2nd in the10 inch BC/Yukon division. |
Ryu
is playing agility in August 2001 at an AAC trial. |

|
Here
Ryu is having his last turn at the 2001 AAC Nationals in Calgary
Alberta. This is the only run of the weekend where he comes in
first ahead of Susan Garrett's famous JRT - and the run was filmed
by the Top Dogs Show to be aired on the Canadian Outdoor Life
Network. |
| When
it's all said and done Ryu comes in 3rd in the 10 inch Regular Class
Division. I'm so proud of this little dog I thought I was going
to burst! |

At
the age of 12 Ryu still enjoys getting out and playing at demo's
like this RCMP Musical Ride in August 2005. |
